It is not always possible for a court to hold an evidentiary hearing on Mexico law. Some times it is not possible to submit an expert opinion to the court regarding a specific issue on Mexico law. A court may need to have counsel explain the status of a matter that is ongoing in Mexico and answer questions about this. A court may need additional information than what was submitted in papers, including any request for judicial notice of the laws of Mexico.
In all of these circumstances having a dual-licensed US-Mexico attorney such as Antonio Maldonado as co-counsel is invaluable to the court, co-counsel and ultimately to the client. Mr. Maldonado is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before all courts in California, including the District Court for the Southern District of California (San Diego) and the District Court for the Central District of California (Los Angeles).
Before we can discuss the details of any case a conflicts check must be performed. When submitting an inquiry please submit the following information: the names of the parties and the general nature of the matter.
Please do not include the details of your matter. We will respond promptly letting you know whether there is any conflict of interest. If there is no conflict of interest we will schedule a brief telephone conference between Antonio Maldonado and you to discuss the details of your case.
